Wonderful idea this duo shower curtain rod. Now I have an extra towel bar in my both my baths. Even had to get one for my mother. They are easy to install and are really nice looking. Sure beats the old spring loaded shower curtain rod.Polder Duo Shower Curtain Rod BTH-110-05

Great shower rod option! I was very pleased with this product. I am using it to hold a liner on one rod and decorative shower curtain on the outside rod. We use the liner rod to hold the damp towels. It works great! It is not a 1-person installation...it took two of us, but it was worth the effort.

cannot release tension,
January 6, 2008 Thomas Mcnulty "home remodeler" (Princeton, NJ) - See all my reviews
The instructions do not mention that if you mount the unit with screws the tension bars cannot be released or removed once in place. We hung shower curtains with loops onto the rods and then extended the rods to fit into the mounting brackets. Once in place the tension cannot be reversed. We realized that they cannot be removed without cutting the bar with a hacksaw ruining the bar. This bar can only be used with hanging rings that can be opened and shut on the bar after it is installed. We just cut off the bar and wasted our money. This is a very bad design.
