No Mildew Shower Curtain Liner - Clear

Comment: This liner is a heavy vinyl liner and more translucent than clear. It works well. We have used it daily for about a month with no evident wear and tear.

Comment: What can I say. It's a shower curtain. I've only had it up a couple of weeks. No mold so far.

Comment: This shower curtain lasted us almost a year with very little mildew. It was thicker and more opaque than other shower curtains which was a plus for me. It's advertised as clear, but there is a very slight texture to the material which makes it not quite clear. I think the texture is part of the anti-mildew effect, since I have seen the smae texture on other, more expensive anti-mildew curtains. The grommets were of good quality and never ripped or tore.

I am a very lazy housekeeper. I wash the tile surfaces of my shower, but rarely (if ever) wash the curtain. After about 5 months of this treatment, mold began to appear in the folds of the curtain. Since my shower is not very long, there were many folds. I would occasionally spray a bleach solution on the mildew and that solved the problem for a few months. I had to replace the curtain after using it for 11 months.

Comment: I think this shower curtain liner is better than most. One thing I immediately noticed is that it was thicker than the liner that I was replacing. Some people think thicker is better while others, I'm certain, would go with longer is better. Then there are those that state it is in the way that you use it. Regardless I am reviewing a shower curtain and I believe this is a far superior product than most. The metal rings to insert the shower curtain rings is an added bonus.

Comment: A previous reviewer stated that this shower curtain has suction cups to keep it attached to the sides of the shower. That is what made me want to purchase this. Unfortunately, the suction cups are too small to actually create suction. If this feature is something that you are interested in, then this is not the product for you. I have not had it long enough to test whether or not it is mildew resistant. For now (to me) it is just a clear shower curtain.
