The Boot Hanger Closet Rod Hanger/Closet Doubler- Doubles Closet Rod Space

With five kids, I'm always looking for ways to store more stuff. This rod is perfect for doubling up closet space. Each of my kids shares a room with a sibling, so I am able to put one child's clothes on top and the other's on the bottom.

This turned out great for my kids closets. It allowed them to reach the clothes on the bottom without help. I would put the out of season clothes on the top and what they could choose from on the bottom.

This was just what I needed for the kids! I have four children, two boys and two girls. The boys share a room, and the girls share a room. The older siblings could reach the top of their very wide closet, however the younger ones were left to call for me everyday to come get their shirts down. What a pain. Since children's clothes aren't very long, this worked perfectly. I bought four of them from another website. I put two in each closet. Now the closet really does hold twice as much! I can see that when the children's shirts get longer, they will get in the way of the rod, but by then, the younger kids could reach up top, so there shouldn't be a problem. The only down side is that the closet rod can slip off the ends, although the caps on the end help a great deal. This has happened only once, and it was intentional.
