I bought this rod to use in my mud/laundry/pantry room to hang a curtain that I made to block off the washer/dryer and open shelving part of the room. I wanted something pretty and sturdy. This works very well but there were problems that I needed to address before achieving that goal. First of all the color IS NOT OIL RUBBED BRONZE but rather an antique gold which is very pretty but not what I was looking for. Also there were pieces broken off on one of the end pieces - made of a composite material. I should have sent it back but I knew I could fix the problems and didn't want to go to the trouble and expense. I repaired the end with epoxy putty and then spray painted the whole thing so I got the oil rubbed bronze finish I wanted. Unless you're handy and/or don't mind the gold finish (and possible broken pieces), don't buy this rod.
